How to use microlearning alongside your course reading

Microlearning breaks material into small units with a specific goal. Use it to work through an explanation, answer without notes and identify what needs further attention. Short sessions do not replace sustained reading or exam tasks, but can connect understanding and review to the material you are already studying.

Why should you combine study techniques?

No study technique does the whole job on its own. SQ3R and Feynman help you understand new material, Pomodoro and interleaving make the session more effective, and active recall with spaced repetition makes knowledge stick. When you combine them in a fixed order, your learning connects better from week to week.

Why is it worth learning proper study techniques?

Study technique is about spending your time on what actually makes the material stick. Retrieving knowledge from memory, reviewing at intervals and explaining in your own words give more than rereading. Start with one technique, use it regularly for a few weeks and add more as you go.
